I am Beena Kadakia, a versatile singer with the ability to sing Guajarati and Hindi film songs as well as Bhajans.

What do Music & Songs mean to you?

Music is a way of life for me. It gives me eternal peace and satisfaction while singing the songs written and composed by some well known lyricists and composers.

How were you inspired to sing?

My attraction towards music inspired me to learn and sing songs.

Have you taken any professional training for singing?

I have learnt classical music from "Deodhar Classes". I learn light "Sugam Sangeet" from Kumudi Ben Munshi and Shiv Kumar Nakar. I have learnt “Bhajans” from Ambaji rao

Who is your idol from Indian Music Industry?

I love listening to songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.

Which is your lifetime favorite song & why?

My favourite song is "Oh Palan Hare" which is a "Bhajan" from Hindi Movie "Lagaan", sung by Lata Mangeshkar. I like this song because it connects me directly to God.

What is your preference for singing, old songs or new songs and why?

I prefer singing old songs as the lyrics of those songs are much more meaning full and one can associate it with some any moment of real life.
